Portfolio
Chris LaPorte’s portfolio features monumental graphite drawings and large-scale commissioned figurative works that investigate history, collective memory, civic identity, and the stories embedded within institutions and communities. Through archival research, historical reconstruction, and a deliberately labor-intensive process, his work transforms drawing into a powerful medium for public storytelling, commemoration, and institutional presence.
This body of work includes independent studio practice, site-responsive commissions, and institutionally scaled projects developed for public art initiatives, educational environments, corporate collections, and private acquisition.
